ELIGIBILITY
Dragon boats built in wooden divided into the following divisions, by year built:
January 1, 1929 – December 31, 1956
January 1, 1957 – December 31, 1972
After January 1, 1973 to date, subdivided into:
- Carve Planking
- Cold Molted
Other subdivisions can be made. For example boat with a big Up-Grade or Original.

At 12: briefing
At 14: first signal race and pasta party at Yacht Club Sanremo
10 Sept: race and Apero Time at Royal Hotel Sanremo
11 Sept race and Gala Dinner at Yacht Club Sanremo
12 Sept race and Prize Giving
The Yacht Club Sanremo's historical bond with the Dragon Class began in 1953 with the victory of its members in the Italian Championship aboard Marlisa (Nello Cabella, Mario Piras, and Pino Ardissone)
Over the years Yacht Club Sanremo has organized:
- 2 European Dragon Championship, 2014 and 2022
- 2 Dragon Grand Prix, 2018 and 2026
- Dragon 90th Anniversary Regatta, 2019 with 156 boats
- 2 Wooden Dragon World Cup, 2025 and 2026
And for over 15 years, the Dragon Winter Series has offered 8 days of racing from November to February; in Spring, the DRAGON CUP.
